As he decided to move from the East Coast to Los Angeles, CA; Jerzey met a young rapper by the name of Game who had just gotten signed to Aftermath Records (Interscope).  The pair instantly connected and began recording "The Black Wall Street Anthem", which Nu Jerzey Devil produced.  Through the bond he built with Game, Jerzey found himself touring not only stateside, but all over the world in sold out arenas.  He states, "I'm a proud Latino and I was able to represent for my culture. My music became accepted by so many different cultures and people from different walks of life. The support I've received is mind blowing!"

Being a multi talented entertainer, In 2010, Jerzey ventured into the world of cinematography by starting his own film company called LiveliHood Films. He worked as an Associated Film Producer for Lil Wayne's "The Carter" DVD, released in 2009.  Jerzey began branding his film company and has directed countless music videos for independent artists, as well as directing his own music videos.  With over 70 of his own music videos being placed on such popular sites as World Star Hip Hop, Nu Jerzey Devil has branded himself as a power house artist with an undeniable work ethic!

Don't let no body try to stop you from accomplishing your dreams!"

Nu Jerzey Devil is also an intelligent business man.  He decided to start his own independent record label and entertainment company, called LiveliHood Entertainment.  With this move, he is now able to sign other artists and give them a shot at accomplishing their goals.  He proudly states, "I'm a Puerto Rican from humble beginnings, who never thought I'd make it this far.  I want to give the next person a chance to achieve what they thought was unattainable!"

Meet Nu Jerzey Devil: Founder of LiveliHood Entertainment

Anthony Torres may have been born in the South Bronx, but he’s all Jerzey at heart, having been raised in Atlantic City, New Jerzey.  Torres, dubbed “Nu Jerzey Devil” by fellow recording artist The Game, has amassed an impressive and expanding list of accomplishments, fans, and connections in the entertainment industry.  Jerzey, the youngest of six siblings, started developing a love for Hip Hop at very  young age.

“Ever since I can remember I’ve always been a fan of music, but it wasn’t until I was seven when I first started writing raps.”, Jerzey recalls.  “I fell in love with creating music!”  Jerzey attained his first set of DJ and production equipment at 18, thus providing him with the tools to fuel his passion that would soon carry him all over the country.  One of his earliest, and what would soon become one of his biggest connections, was with rapper The Game.

“I met the Game in the very beginning stages of his career, right after he signed with Aftermath”, states Jerzey.  “Game gave me the opportunity to go out and hustle my way to the top by using his name and his connections so I capitalized on that opportunity.  We toured the entirety of Europe, Africa and Australia a few times over.”

While speaking about the Game, Jerzey takes another moment to pay respect to The Game and those who helped him get to where he is today such as, Scott Storch and Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins.

“I’ve gotten to perform in front of thousands of people and gotten great responses back from every country we’ve toured.  A lot of artists will never get that opportunity and for that I’ll be forever grateful!”

In 2001, with the help of The Game’s older brother Big Fase, they formed a label that featured The Game, Nu Jerzey Devil, Glasses Malone and Vita.  Within a short period of time after mastering the art of production.  Jerzey's aspiring career in the music industry garnered another substantial boost, after receiving an invitation to work with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.  Intrigued by his talent, Jerkins signed Jerzey to his production company “Darkchild Production”, in 2003.  Rodney Jerkins  assisted Jerzey in boosting his career to the next level!

Jerzey further explains, “I went from working with local rappers to flying back and forth from Miami to L.A, to work with some of the biggest artists in the entertainment industry.  I really learned how the industry worked and got a better understanding of what I had to do to make it in this game.”

As Nu Jerzey Devil’s name spread in the industry, so did the demand for his talent...  Alongside Jerkins, Jerzey received the opportunity to score and produce the soundtracks of the 2003 Universal Pictures film “Honey” and the Mirimax film “My Baby’s Daddy”.  During his developmental stages with Jerkins, Jerzey was able to gain a greater understanding of the business facet of the industry.  He managed to easily keep his momentum going when he began to work with hit maker, Scott Storch in 2007.

“At that time he became my mentor and I learned a lot from him... I witnessed exactly what went into producing a hit record.  Working with everyone from Fat Joe to Paris Hilton, I learned to treat every project as if it were my only shot at making on a major level!”

His unquenchable thirst to create never remains rooted in one media, as he simultaneously continued producing and directing different music videos, films, and movie projects.  As his remarkable work ethic continued to give his name some serious weight in the industry, Jerzey found that his talents could reach far beyond the recording studio.  In 2010 Jerzey smoothly transitioned into the world of cinematography by establishing his own film company, “LiveliHood Films”.  Having releasing several film projects, Jerzey built upon his reputation, and found himself having the opportunity to work with artists such as Lil Wayne on “The Carter” DVD, and Quincy Jones III “Beef 3” DVD.

Though his collaborations are extensive and impressive (Cool & Dre, Lil Wayne, Neyo, and Dr. Dre); he yearns to make another name for himself with his own musical solo ventures which he drops at a rapid fire pace.  These releases include the well-received projects titled: “Art of War” in 2007, “Mr. Red Karpet” in 2009, “Say Now” in 2010, “Behind Closed Doors” in 2011, “Mr. Red Bottoms” in 2011, and to round out the list is his latest album, “From the Bottom to the Top” which he released Summer of 2012.  Jerzey aims to send a message of positivity with this musical composition.  Never one to settle or sit back for a while, he's already producing and writing songs for his upcoming mixtape titled, "Late Nights, Early Mornings" which will be released in early 2013.

Jerzey's message is simple... He states, “Never give up!  Hard work pays off and just because you’re at the bottom and feel like the world is against you, you still have a chance at making it to the top, so don't throw in the towel till you've given it you're all!”

There’s only one question left for Jerzey to answer at this point; what does the future hold for Nu Jerzey Devil?

“I feel like I’ve conquered the streets and left my mark so I want to show the rest of the world I can make music for everyone.  I want to reach the next level and make a strong impact by being on mainstream radio... I want to hit the road and go back on world tours as a headlining artist this time around!  I plan on directing and filming movies, acting, developing my own clothing line, and taking my music career to the next level! I will always have another goal to accomplish... The day I stop striving for more is the day I stop breathing!”

Jerzey has shown himself to be a tireless entertainment savant.  He continues to steamroll through projects at a frantic pace, that few can match without having to bow out to exhaustion.  He has the most admirable combination of an endless stream of creativity, humble nature, and constant perspective that makes him not only the kind of artist you root for, but also the type of human being that you root for...  Nu Jerzey Devil will go as far as his work ethic takes him, and at this rate he will go further than perhaps he could have ever dreamed!
